Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States, only that it is self-governing and unincorporated. It has a main island as well as other small ones. It is part of the four Great Antilles, including Cba, Hispaniola and Jamaica.

The island's climate falls on the tropical climatic zone. The temperatures are almost even throughout the year though they vary in the low elevations and mountains. Easterly trade winds traverse the place
